Does wearing a Mesoamerican storm god hat give you divine powers? There's only one way to find out. The unnamed Teotihuacan storm deity, later worshiped by the Aztec by the name Tlaloc, is the unofficial Obelisk mascot due to their shapeshifting iconography. Sometimes depicted as a recognizable face, other times reduced to seething mass of teeth, the Teotihuacan storm god represents the mutability of ideas through time, communicated across culture and millennia. This hat is my go-to snapback, with dialed-in embroidery, classic green under-brim and iconography that at first blends in with sports hat culture, and only reveals its esoteric meaning to the true initiate.
